Role Overview
The Director — B2G will lead organization’s government business strategy, relationship
building, and large-scale project growth. This senior leadership role is responsible for
driving strategic engagement with central/state government PSUS, Anton or Bodies and
Regulation Anthnt securing high-impact partnerships, leading complex tender and
proposal processes, and influencing public sector decision-making to grow IGCSM’s
footprint in government skilling, education, and workforce development programs.
The role focuses on securing government projects, grants, affiliations, Mous, CSR-Links
government programs aligned with the organization’ Objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the B2G business strategy aligned with organization’s mission
and growth goals.
Serve as the primary liaison with central and state government departments,
ministries, statutory bodies, and public sector units.
Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with agencies such as NSDC, SSDMs,
MSDE, DGT, State Skill Missions, educational boards, and civic bodies etc.
Represent organization’s at government forums, policy consultations, steering
committees, and external stakeholder events.
Identify and pursue new B2G business opportunities including tenders,
RFPs/EOIs, framework agreements, funding programs, and institutional
collaborations.
Lead proposal strategy and bid management — including concept development,
compliance checks, pricing, submission, negotiation, and closure.
Develop strategic frameworks to increase organization’s impact and revenue from
government programs and public funding initiatives.
Work closely with Operations, Programs, Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, and
Communications teams to ensure deliverables are compliant, on time, and
outcomes-focused.
Enable knowledge sharing and capacity building internally about government
processes, procurement cycles, and policy trends.
Establish performance targets, revenue goals, dashboards, key milestones, and ROI
metrics for the B2G pipeline.
Provide regular executive reports to the CEO and Board on government engagement
status, opportunities, and risks.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Government Affairs, or
related field (MBA/PG Diploma preferred).
5+ years of experience in business development, government relations, or
strategic partnerships within the B2G.
Proven track record of winning and managing government/PSU engagements,
tenders, and contracts.
Deep understanding of government procurement processes, policy frameworks,
compliance standards, and e-procurement portals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation
skills.
Preferred
Prior experience working with Ministries/Departments related to skilling,
vocational education, workforce development, or public service delivery.
Strong network within central and state government stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with capability to translate public policy outcomes to scalable
business solutions.
